Bathroom With Balcony

We are moving into a new house with gorgeous location and views but a challenge in the master bedroom. The bedroom is very large (18x25!) with cathedral ceilings and lake views (through the windows next to the fireplace), but it has a very small bathroom with no shower (please don't ask why). The current tiny powder room is located between the fireplace and the 4 entry stairs. We plan on demolishing the existing small bathroom and adding a New bathroom (8x11), in the corner where the small balcony is. Also adding a Walk-in-closet (8x7) on the same wall. New bedroom size will be 18x17.

I am including photos of the current bedroom and the new floor layout. The bedroom has cathedral ceilings (about 13 feet) and lake views through the windows near the fireplace. The oval window will be in the new WIC. The bow window will be removed. There is also a set of exterior stairs leading down to the back yard and the pool. It connects with the rest of the second floor through the four steps going down to a small hallway and two other bedrooms.

Questions:
- Layout: where should the bathroom fixtures should go? I think the best place for a drain pipe is in the corner next to the 4 stairs. We'd like to have a double vanity (but could live with single), a walk in shower and soaking tub with jets. Also, a chair or small bench and some storage.
- Balcony: should we keep the balcony, remove it completely or just remove the door but keep the window over the balcony? This balcony overlooks the front yard (we are the last house on the street).
- Ceiling height: flat lower ceiling in the bathroom and walk-in-closet (and potential loft in the bedroom, or "attic" storage space)
- Style: "zen" or "contemporary" but not too "out there"... :) Color - something on pale green/stronger green accents, white fixtures, live plants, etc... But, we are open to considering other ideas, too.
